Since July 16, Pennsylvania taxpayers have been paying for abortions through Medicaid, after the Commonwealth Court struck down the state’s longstanding ban and the Shapiro administration declined to defend it. Democrats with a trifecta would likely work to lock it in. The State Senate is the last firewall, and Right to Life Pennsylvania is asking you to help hold it.

You’re already paying for abortions. Here’s what comes next.
Since July 16, Pennsylvania taxpayers have been paying for abortions through Medicaid.
Your tax dollars. Right now.
Here’s how it happened. In April, the Commonwealth Court struck down our state’s longstanding ban on Medicaid-funded abortion.
The appeal is now at the state Supreme Court, but the court let the payments begin in July while the case goes on. Spotlight PA reported that the Shapiro administration declined to defend the ban.
| Let that sink in. The administration in charge of the program wouldn’t defend the law that kept your tax dollars out of abortion. |
Spotlight PA has also reported that the Governor has vowed to veto further abortion restrictions.
So ask yourself what a Democratic trifecta means for taxpayer-funded abortion in 2027.
Nobody in the Governor’s office, the House or a Democratic-run Senate would lift a finger to stop it. More likely, these pro-abortion politicians would work to lock it in, whatever the Supreme Court decides.
Right now the Senate is the one place that answer can still be no. It’s the last firewall. That’s why control of the Senate matters so much.
| Two more seats tie the Senate, and the Democrat Lt. Governor breaks the tie to hand them control: the leadership, the committee chairmen and the calendar. |

Right to Life Pennsylvania is making sure pro-life voters in the Senate districts that decide control know that their tax dollars are paying for abortions right now, and what’s at stake on November 3.
I’m not going to pretend otherwise: we can only reach as many people as we can afford to reach.

P.S. Taxpayer-funded abortion started in Pennsylvania on July 16. A Democratic trifecta wouldn’t stop it. The Senate is the last firewall.
Please give $30 today, or whatever you can, before it’s too late.
