The Philadelphia Inquirer reported on October 14 that Governor Josh Shapiro’s plan for a Democratic trifecta includes codifying abortion. Democrats already hold the Governor’s office and the House, and the State Senate is the last firewall for the unborn. Here’s why Right to Life Pennsylvania is asking you to help hold it.

Abortion is on their trifecta list.
I need you to read what the Philadelphia Inquirer reported on October 14, because it’s the clearest warning pro-life Pennsylvanians have gotten all year.
According to the Inquirer, at the start of this year Governor Josh Shapiro told his party’s endorsement convention what he wants: a Democratic trifecta. The Governor’s office, the House and the Senate, all under one party’s control for the first time since 1993.
And the Inquirer reports what he says that trifecta would do.
Right there on the list: codify abortion.
| That’s not my reading between the lines. That’s the plan, reported in black and white. |
Here’s how close they are. Democrats already hold the Governor’s office. They already hold the House, 103 to 100.
The State Senate is the only thing left standing between the unborn and that plan. It’s the last firewall.
Republicans hold the Senate 27 to 23.
| Two more seats tie the Senate, and the Democrat Lt. Governor breaks the tie to hand them control: the leadership, the committee chairmen and the calendar. |
And you already know what these pro-abortion politicians would do with that control.
Last December, the Democrats who run the House passed their Abortion Amendment, House Bill 1957, by a single vote, 102 to 101. It would write abortion into our State Constitution. The Senate never let it move, and when this session ends on November 30, that version dies.
For now.
A Democratic Senate would bring it right back in 2027.

That’s why I’m asking you to give $40 right now to help hold the last firewall for the unborn. If you can give $80, please do. If $25 is what you can do, it helps too.

Your gift goes straight into Right to Life Pennsylvania’s Senate fight for the preborn: putting these facts in front of pro-life voters in the districts that decide who runs the Senate, getting them to the polls by November 3, and making sure we’re ready to fight on November 4, whatever happens.

P.S. The Inquirer reports the Governor’s trifecta plan includes codifying abortion, and the House already passed the Abortion Amendment by one vote. Two more seats tie the Senate, and the Democrat Lt. Governor breaks the tie to hand them control: the leadership, the committee chairmen and the calendar.
Please give $40 right now, or $25 if that’s what you can do, to hold the last firewall for the unborn.
